The Foundation has been blessed with generous donors, who have established a number of Endowment Funds supporting various ministries of Bethany.
“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others.” 1 Peter 4:10
The Bethany Foundation endowment Funds allow the members of Bethany to make gifts that will serve others and carry on the Lord’s work long after they have departed this earth. Only the earnings of these endowment funds are distributed. The principal amount remains in tact into perpetuity.
Since the Foundation was formed, the Foundation has helped establish the following :
Endowment Funds
Pastoral Education Endowment Fund
Provides assistance to students who are attending Missouri Synod Seminaries in preparation for the Ministry.
Sabo Scholarship Endowment Fund
Assists students who are attending Missouri Synod Schools, other than seminaries, to pursue full-time church vocations.
Sabo Care Fund
This fund supports training of Bethany members for service in the Stephen Ministry of Bethany.
Ed & Barbara Trost Day School Endowment Fund
This fund provides tuition assistance to needy students of the Bethany Lutheran Day School.
Ed Newcomer Day School Endowment Fund
This fund provides tuition assistance to needy students of the Bethany Lutheran Day School.
Day School Program Development Fund
The earnings of this fund are disbursed and utilized by the Bethany Day School for Program Development for items that are not part of the schools work program.
Library Endowment Fund
The earnings of this fund are disbursed and utilized to assist in the operation of the Sabo Library.
Kansas City Lutheran High School Endowment Fund
The earnings of this fund are disbursed as tuition assistance to Bethany members attending the Lutheran High School of Kansas City.
Music Endowment Fund
The earnings of this fund support the music ministry of Bethany.
The Good Samaritan Endowment Fund
The earnings of this fund help support the life sustaining needs of Bethany members.
Adult Discipleship Endowment Fund
Funding guest speakers related to Christian Living.
Day School Scholarship Fund
The principal and earnings of this fund are available to assist Bethany Lutheran School students in need of tuition assistance.

Whom do I contact for establishing a new Endowment Fund?
Contact any of the Board members. They will work with you and the rest of the Board to help establish a Specific Endowment Fund to support a Specific ministry. In order to establish a new endowment Fund, a commitment of at least $10,000 is required. This amount can be raised by one or many contributors.
